Chashme Baddoor is the official remake of the 1981 film
of the same name and stars Siddharth, Ali Zafar,Divyendu Sharma and Taapsee
Pannu. It has been directed by the King of comedy, David Dhawan who
returns from a brief hiatus to direction after the disastrous Rascals (2011).
This Viacom 18 production has music provided by Sajid–Wajid and the lyrics have
been penned by Kausar Munir, Neelesh Mishra and Jalees Sherwani. Music in a
comedy film, especially that of a David Dhawan film is something that is not
usually integral to the plot and the listener does not go with humongous
expectation with respect to the quality of either the music or the lyrics. What
we do expect is that the music will provide the much needed timepass and if it
is foot tapping and catchy, that would essentially be the icing on the cake.
Sajid-Wajid have managed to provide such scores in their past few films and it
is with this very hope that we start listening to this album.
